Jim & Daday 25th Wedding Anniversary

There is truth in the saying, “Marriage is a promise. Not just between the couple but to the community at large, to generations past and to those yet to be born.”
True enough the marriage of Jim and Daday gave us an example of a working relationship. Past 25 years when Jim is 60lbs lighter then who worked as a man in uniform of the US Military and after that worked in Post Office at the US and Daday who is a native of Bato, Leyte. Reminded us that great love stood still. Perhaps the dazzling beauty of Daday even at 42 still radiating which gives Jim a reminder of precious gem in his life Daday.
It was a fine morning of October 1, 2011 at their residence at Zone 1, Sogod, Southern Leyte - while everybody is busy yet very happy in the preparation. Me and my team came early for I have to work on two assignments that day. I still have photography in the afternoon. I was so amazed how Jim gave such very precious diamond ring during their last anniversary. It was an a great oppurtunity for me to shoot this kind of ring which I seldom see in my previous shooting engagement. Took off my macro gear and pulled off shots of the rings.

I enjoyed our photo session - Daday is very appealing and very receptive to my suggestions. It's my style to embed glamour photography on my set, it's much of a challenge though because not everybody is good at the camera but again with some luck I made it. Daday as shown in this picture (with a little photoshop) responded beautifully on my directions giving this picture a very fashionable one.

Bride over the window. Using natural light to flow on Daday's face gave this picture a very solemn yet appealing portrait. I always made efforts on creating photos like this. This is perhaps a time where most of the brides would love to see as they reminisce the event.

And yet everybody's interaction to a very cheesy set. My 'Yes Kiss' set, I've been doing this through all of my assignments. It takes a gutsy communication skill of the photographer to get this shot.

The bride in their own garden. This beautiful frame is one of my favorites a glow of the bride in their own lawn. I can't bring them to other location because of time constraints in morning weddings, so utilizing whats in the environment and a little of creativity pulled off this wonderful image worthy to be remember through time.

Renewal of vows is perhaps as exciting as new. Jim was so carried over by the event that he did shed a tear as they were going to renew their vows while Daday was a smiling bride. I was there catching every moment as it unfolds - this is the photojournalistic approach to photography which is a natural part of my style of photography.
True love brings true marriages, the ups and downs in a relationship is meant to strengthen the bond God has blessed through matrimony. Jim and Daday loved each other, enjoyed each other and they made it ... a happy couple in our community.
Congratulations Jim and Daday
