Daisy Beth C. Egina Captures the Crown for Miss Libagon Tourism 2011
This is the moment - Miss Libagon Tourism 2011 Pageant Night Competition held last October 10, 2011 came to an end. These two beautiful ladies from Barangay Talisay (left) and Barangay Punta (right) heldtheir hand during the announcement of the winner for the competition. Miss Daisy Beth C. Egina of Barangay Talisay captured the crown and the title as the 2011 Miss Libagon Tourism and will be the official candidate of Libagon for Miss Southern Leyte 2012.
Indeed, the Miss Libagon Tourism 2011 as one of the highlight of the 98th Founding Anniversary of Libagon culminated a very successful one. Watching over the sidelights as the photographer for the event, I could say that the event is very well funded and prepared. All the officials including the Parish Priest and all the barangay captains, head of offices were there dressed in their barong and very fasnionable gowns. The Mayor Hon. Mayor Ranque delivered his welcome address to start up the evening's affair.
All the judges for the competition were not coming from Libagon. Hon. Board Member Cesar Rey (Chairman), Miss Condess Bagares, Hon. Emie Tan, Miss Aura Orillo Aguillar and Mr. Risty Milagroso. They did a very fair judgement on the candidates and were tabulated and signed by the tabulators who use computers to accurately tally the results.
The top 5 finalist are as follows:
4th runner up - Ms. Shiela M. Cosares - Otikon
3rd Runner Up - Ms. Leah C. Guzman - Kawayan
2nd Runner Up - Ms. Radyl Ann R. Deniega - Jubas
1st Runner Up - Ms. Maria Cristina Calapis - Punta

The event was graced with many performers from different schools, from vocal rendetion, modern dances and folk dances. The event ended at 1:30 AM in the morning.
